Late last year, you may recall hearing about the upcoming synod (assembly). Every diocese in the world is hosting its own local synod. The purpose of the synod, according to "Chicago Catholic" is “…to bring about a new way of being the Church, giving greater participation of ordinary Catholics, overhauling unsustainable governance styles, focusing on missionary evangelization and serving those on the margins”. The Archdiocese of Chicago has begun its synod and is looking for feedback from Catholics living in the diocese. You can be a part of the synodal process and offer your input by telling the Archdiocese what communion, participation, and mission mean to you.
Our 75th Anniversary Mass and Celebration is fast approaching. We're creating an ad book to mark the occasion. Perhaps you'd like to consider placing an ad to help us commemorate this event? You can place an ad on behalf of your family or, if you are an alumni, perhaps on behalf of your class? If you are a business owner, business ads are also welcome. And, of course, photographs are also welcome!
We know that people often come to the rectory to request Mass Intentions, and that not everyone is free during the hours that the rectory is open (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.). If you are unable to stop at the rectory during this time, you can continue to request Mass intentions. Simply click on the "Request Mass Intentions" title above and filling out the required information.
