On Sunday, May 22 at the 10:30 a.m. Mass, Fr. Matthew Litak will celebrate his first Mass as a priest. Matt and his family have been longtime parishioners of St. Bernadette and Matt is a proud graduate of St. Bernadette School. Matt is being ordained a priest on Saturday, May 21.
The first Mass is a very special event in the life of a priest, and the celebration is as important for him as it is for the parish. On Sunday, May 22, we will join as a community and celebrate Mass with the Archdiocese’s newest priest. Afterwards, there will be a reception for Fr. Matt, with lunch, in O’Brien Hall. All are invited to attend, however, to better plan, we ask that you please RSVP by calling the rectory (708-422-8995) if you would like to attend the reception after Mass.
Fr. Matt has been assigned to Christ the King as an associate pastor, beginning July 1. We ask that you pray for his ministry and ask God to continue to bless him and his family.
